Faux wood slats are made from hard-wearing PVC, engineered to mimic the grain, colour and warmth of real timber while being completely water-resistant. Unlike real wood, they won’t warp, discolour or crack in humid rooms — which is why they’ve become the go-to venetian for kitchens, bathrooms and any window that catches steam or splashes. They’re also easier to clean: a wipe with a damp cloth is enough, no polishing, no restoring, no worrying about liquid marks. And because PVC is a manufactured material, the slats are consistent across the whole blind — no natural variation, no colour drift over time.

Because faux wood is manufactured, we can offer a wider colour range than real timber will ever match — natural wood tones from oak and walnut to mahogany and ash, alongside painted finishes in bright whites, soft greys and heritage colours. Choose from two slat widths: 30mm for a fine, close-tiled look that suits smaller windows and traditional rooms, or 50mm for a bolder, more contemporary finish that lets in more light when open. The colour is baked into the slat surface, so it won’t chip, peel or fade with sun exposure.

Simple to operate,child-safe as standard.

Every faux wood blind we install comes with an easy-to-use lifting cord and a child-safety cleat as standard — the cord wraps around a wall-mounted cleat when not in use, keeping loose cords well out of a child’s reach. A quick pull raises or lowers the blind smoothly, while a twist of the tilt wand controls the slat angle for precise light and privacy. There’s no complex mechanism to fail, no motor to service and no batteries to change — a big part of why faux wood remains one of the most popular blinds in our range.
