FULL BLACKOUT CASSETTE BLINDS

Not dark,truly dark.

Standard blackout roller blinds do a decent job — until you look at the edges. There, light slips past the fabric on both sides of the window, spilling across the ceiling and pooling on the wall. It’s enough to wake you at dawn, or to ruin the picture in a home cinema. Our cassette blackout system solves it with side channels that hold the fabric edges tight against the window frame, an aluminium cassette that seals the top, and a weighted bar that meets the sill. The result is the deepest, most complete blackout currently available — and because the system integrates into the window itself, the window still opens and tilts as normal even with the blind fully down.

TOTAL BLACKOUT

Sealed on all four sides, for total darkness.

Every regular blackout blind fails in the same place — the small gap between the fabric and the window frame, where daylight slips through and lights up the room. Our cassette system closes that gap on all four sides. The aluminium cassette seals the top of the window, side channels grip the fabric edges tight against the frame, and the weighted bottom bar meets the sill. Once the blind is down, no light gets past — which is the difference between “almost dark” and the kind of dark you actually need for real sleep, a proper film night, or a nursery that stays dark past 6am in June.

HIDDEN CASSETTE

When it’s open,you’d never know it’s there.

When the blind isn’t in use, the fabric rolls up completely into a slim aluminium cassette fixed to the top of the window frame. No exposed roll, no dust-catching mechanism on show — just the window and its light. The cassette can be finished in a range of colours to match your window frames, and the side channels are equally discreet. During the day, the room looks like it doesn’t have a blind at all — and that’s the point.

WINDOW COMPATIBILITY

Blind down,window still opens.

Because the cassette and side channels attach to the window frame itself — not the recess — you can still open, tilt or turn the window when the blind is fully down. It’s a small detail that makes a huge difference in bedrooms and bathrooms, where you want fresh air without letting light back in. The system works with casement, tilt-and-turn, uPVC, timber and aluminium windows. We’ll assess the frame type at the home consultation and confirm compatibility before you commit.

EVERY DARK ROOM

For every roomthat needs to be dark.

There’s a specific list of rooms where standard blackout just isn’t enough. Bedrooms where street lights, moonlight or early dawn keep waking you. Nurseries where a six-month-old wakes at 5am in high summer. Home cinemas and AV rooms where any stray light ruins the picture. Bedrooms of shift workers who need to sleep soundly through the day. And any east-facing window — the direction that never plays nicely with a regular roller blind. If your room falls into any of those categories, this is the blind that actually solves the problem.
